Welcome to the Research Group of Ingestive Phenotyping for Metabolic Medicine. Our multidisciplinary research group is dedicated to advancing the understanding of obesity's etiology and pathophysiology by leveraging metabolic bariatric surgery (MBS) and new incretin-based pharmacotherapy (IBP) as a research model. We investigate how these treatments influence human physiology to uncover mechanisms that suppress the obesity phenotype, ultimately informing basic science, inspiring novel treatments, and supporting drug development.
