Nico Pulitano
From September 2024 to February 2025.
Master's thesis during the fourth year of Medical School at UZH.
Nico Pulitano (Nico) is a medical student at the University of Zurich. As part of his Master’s thesis, Nico contributed to the DIBASH project, where he investigated sex differences in the microstructure of ingestive behaviour using the Drinkometer system. His work also assessed the reproducibility of microstructural parameters across repeated measurements, contributing to the methodological validation of this novel approach. His research aims to shed light on sex-specific physiological patterns in eating behaviour and to support the development of more personalised, sex-aware post-operative care strategies following bariatric surgery.
Nico has been a team player from the beginning. Accordingly we offered him a part-time job in our group as a clinical research assistant to keep his committment and expertise in the team. In this role, he supports several ongoing research projects, with a particular focus on patient management and data collection.
