Jan Han

Jan Han is a Master student in Medicine at the University of Zurich (Faculty of Medicine Zurich), focusing on the long.term effects of ingestive behaviour in metabolic bariatric surgery.

Mr. Han's research focuses on ingestive physiology, specifically investigating how dietary habits change after bariaric surgery to imporve treatment outcomes for patients. Their work aims to enhance the understanding of the mechanisms underlying eating behaviours and to develop strategies that can lead to more effective patient care in the context of obesity and metabolic disorders.

Sebastian Elben

Sebastian Elben is an intern in Metabolic Bariatric Surgery and Obesity Research at the University Hospital Zurich (https://www.usz.ch). He is currently pursuing his bachelor's degree in human medicine at ETH Zurich.

His research focuses on obesity physiology, particularly the metabolic adaptations following gastric bypass surgery. Additionaly, he is investigating the impact of frequent exercise on the gut microbiome and gastric hormone expression.

Samuel Müller

Samuel Müller is an intern at the Research Group of Metabolic Bariatric Surgery and Obesity Research. He is also Student at ETH Zürich in the final stage of his bachelor's degree in human medicine.

Mr. Müller works primarily in the DIBASH-project, researching behavioral mechanisms influencing changes in food intake following metabolic-bariatric surgery, aiming to strengthen our understanding of the mechanisms underlying obesity and postoperative weight loss.
